Yes, exactly! I was just thinking that. And when the automated digital cameras came, every change. And Warhol's use of other materials, etc. But I do think there is so much less human involvement in this, it's at a new level. At some point AI will scan the news and come up with its own artistic interpretations of it. And it will be art, because isn't that what we do, draw on the references we've had in our lives, artistic and otherwise, to create? It just won't be made by humans....:)
Ah, the classic, eternal question... "Is it art?"
Yeah, I guess it'll keep coming up. They debated whether photography was art when it appeared.
