So good to see you again. I was reminded how much I like your posts. I remember years ago a short-lived topic in pop psychology was "How do French women stay so thin while surrounded by such wonderful food.?" The answer at that time was exactly as you say now about eating a cream puff: appreciating high quality, savoring small bites, knowing freshness is temporary. May we all appreciate the "cream puffs" in our daily lives.
I have been away from you too long. I think of you often and glad that I had the sense to read your delightful offering once again. I will reflect today on this -
It’s possible I packed up the dog and headed to Paris because of those cream puffs, or maybe just the idea that my shelf life is limited, too.
If you claim that the ballloon inside your water heater has exploded, who am I to doubt you, but taken out of context that reminded me of Monty Python's "My hovercraft is full of eels", which translated into Hungarian as ... well, something else. Both very funny.
For the record, in that paragraph about asparagus, it's salmon roe, not ROW. Changed it back three times, but roe seems not to be recognized by the gods of spellcheck
So glad you’re back and the retreat sounds divine.
Thanks so much, Sacha I’m back in the world!
Everyone reading this now obviously wants a cream puff, which is another great reason to go to Paris to write with you!
My devious plan is working
I wish I had a choux right now! And I can't wait to read about the other adventures. A Susanna newsletter is always delightful, my friend :)
Thanks love, a light start to a new phase. I hope.

Johnny, I meant to reply to this earlier. Thanks for reading, and yes yes, I agree with all of what you're saying.

Thank you dear friend. I hope you come over here soon, we can have cream puffs. And I have a guest room. :)

Ahahahah, yes, I remember that.
So glad you're back!
Thank you so much, barbara
Fantastic that you and Glynnis are doing this! A new kind of adventure! Sending love from New York...
Come and do a little talk in the workshop about being a woman with opinions and a pen!

Haha, I remember that one. Yes... so good.
